About the Journal
Focus and scope
Antropología Cuadernos de Investigación is a publication by the School of Anthropology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. It began as a periodical publication in 1983 and until the year 2008 seven numbers were published. In the year 2009 its publication with the current format is restarted and since 2014 it becomes a semestral publication. Its editorial structure includes the sections: Presentation, Theme, Proposals, Documents and Testimonies, Ethnography, Scientific and Academic Notes, Obituaries and Book Reviews.
The aim of the journal is to disseminate original theoretical and empirical studies of the various fields of anthropology, archaeology and related sciences of Ecuador and Latin America.
Target audience
The journal is aimed at social scientists and the general community interested in the reality and social, cultural, and historical problems of Ecuador and Latin America.
Periodicity
The magazine is published twice a year in the periods February-July and August-January.

In 2018, the Antropología Cuadernos de Investigación journal had a rejection rate of 29%, which means that 71% of articles received were approved.
Fees
The magazine does not charge any fees for the processing or publication of articles.
Plagiarism
The papers submitted to the journal Antropología Cuadernos de Investgación are reviewed using the Turnitin plagiarism control system. This system detects the percentage of similarity of the article when comparing it with other online articles. This information is analyzed and, if plagiarism is discovered, the article is automatically rejected.
